  • Map of Sargasso, the Ancient Battlefield
  • Spell, Continuous
  • You can only activate this card if there is a face up "Ancient Battlefield of the Different Dimension - Sargasso" on the field. Destroy this card if "Ancient Battlefield of the Different Dimension - Sargasso" is not face-up on the field. Whenever you would take damage from "Ancient Battlefield of the Different Dimension - Sargasso", you regain LP equal to the damage you would have taken instead.
  • A group of people resembling high-tech Dark Scorpions standing around a holographic representation of a wrecked aircraft carrier

  • Sargasso Salvage Ship
  • Level 1
  • Dark, Machine
  • When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can add one "Sargasso" card from your deck to your hand. If this card was sent to the Graveyard by an Xyz Monster (whether by battle or card effect), deal 500 points of damage to your opponent. If the Xyz monster was controlled by your opponent, deal 1000 damage instead.
  • 300/200
  • A small, high-tech ship weaving it's way through the wrecks of older ships

  • Levelutionary Witch LV4
  • Level 4
  • Water, Psychic
  • During your Standby Phase, by sending this card to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Levelutionary Witch LV6" from your Hand or Deck, or a Level 3 or lower "LV" monster from your Graveyard.
  • 1000/500
  • A young girl in a blue blouse, dipping her hands in a pool with several Ultimate Insect LV1's in it

  • Levelutionary Witch LV6
  • Level 6
  • Water, Psychic
  • During your Standby Phase, by sending this card to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Levelutionary Witch LV8 from your Hand or Deck, or a Level 5 or lower "LV" monster from your Graveyard. You cannot activate this effect on the turn you summon it.
  • 2000/1300
  • An teenage girl in a blue dress, sitting under a tree with an Armed Dragon LV3 and a Horus the Black Dragon LV4. She is petting them, and they are nuzzling her in affection

  • Levelutionary Witch LV8
  • Level 8
  • Water, Psychic
  • This card cannot be Normal Summoned. Must be Special Summoned by the effect of "Levelutionary Witch LV6". During your Standby Phase, you can send this card to the Graveyard to Special Summon a "LV" monster from your Graveyard, ignoring the summoning conditions. You cannot activate this effect the turn you summon it.
  • 2800/2100
  • A statuesque lady in a sapphire gown sitting on a throne. She is speaking with a kneeling Silent Swordsman LV5, while a Allure Queen LV5 stands respectfully behind her.

So, two ideas that occurred to me, and here they are. One that seemed a logical extension, and another that was partially based on a terrible pun that wouldn't go away.

  • Barian Battlemage Circle
  • Continuous Trap
  • Activate only during the endphase, if your opponent controls an XYZ monster. During each standby phase, detach 1 XYZ material from each XYZ monster in play. Then, deal damage equal to that material's atk to your opponent's life points. You may send this card to the graveyard to target 1 XYZ monster you control that has another XYZ monster as XYZ material; it gains atk equal to the atk of the XYZ monster attached to it. During the end phase, destroy the targeted monster.
  • A group of elegantly dressed sorcerers colluding around Vector's true form, apparently in the midst of casting something.

  • Barian Dread-Lord
  • Level 8
  • Dark / Spellcaster
  • This card cannot be special summoned, except by its own effect. Once per turn, you may pay 800 life points and destroy 1 face-up card on the field. If that card is an XYZ monster, you may use this effect again. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by spells and traps. You may special summon this card from your hand or graveyard by banishing 2 Dark Spellcaster monsters from your hand and / or graveyard.
  • 2700/2300
  • A black armored man wearing tron lined armor, wielding a wicked lance that has numerous back facing teeth on the blade.

More of D'Hale's cards:

  • Kanone-Armee JD-52
  • Level 4
  • Dark / Machine
  • When this card is destroyed in battle or by card effect, you may special summon 1 Kanone-Armee monster from your graveyard, except for Kanone-Armee JD-52. When this card deals direct damage to your opponent; deal 400 damage to your opponent.
  • 1450/1450
  • A single bulky unit covered in armor and wielding a pair of massive cannons in its hands leading a supply unit.

  • Kanone-Armee SF-00
  • Level 10
  • Dark / Machine
  • You can special summon this card from your hand by banishing 3 Kanone-Armee monsters from your hand and / or graveyard. When this card comes into play, destroy all spell and traps you control, and while this card is in play, you cannot activate or set spells or traps. During each of your standby phases, discard one card from your hand. Whenever you normal summon or special summon a Kanone-Armee monster, deal 800 damage to your opponent's life points. When this card attacks a facedown monster, deal 600 damage to your opponent's life points.
  • 4000/4000
  • A titanic suit of Powered Armor with cannons lining the arms all the way up to the hands, four more cannons on the shoulder plate armor, a visor covers the face, and there's even a cannon emerging from the middle of the chest. There are numerous missile silos on the front of the shoulders and on the knees. Yeah.

  • Kanone-Armee SJ-07
  • Level 4
  • Dark / Machine
  • You may special summon this card from your hand if you control a Level 5 or higher Kanone-Armee monster. If you have dealt damage to your opponent's life points twice or more this turn, then target 1 monster you control; this card becomes that monster's level until the end of the turn. When this card destroys a monster in battle, deal 800 damage to your opponent.
  • 1900/1900
  • A lighter unit with a lot of jets on its back, it has a black and red color scheme, and wields a pair of ridiculous looking hand cannons right out of a Liefeld Comic.

As you can tell by now, the theme of D'Hale's cards is "ridiculous looking cards dealing a lot of damage to you."

That boss monster is ridiculous. Like beyond stupidly powerful. Judgment Dragon is a card that straddles the line of being ridiculous and this card makes it blush for a number of reasons.

  • Easier summoning condition: You could get this card out turn 1. You can feasibly get JD turn 1, but that requires a great deal of luck. This one you just need to draw it and two other cards of its archetype. That's insane.
  • Attack/Defense: 4k is still a big deal even now. Only the biggest and most ridiculous cards get to wield that stat. Stuff like god cards (of all varieties, not just Egyptians) get this but also are made to be difficult to toss out. Getting a 4k beatstick out for a -1 or, if the cards are already in the grave, a +1? Yeah, that's crazy.
  • Effect: Normally the effect wouldn't be that bad but when combined with other stuff from the archetype, you can easily burn down half an opponent's life points and then still have a 4k beater to finish the job. I mean, let's break it down here...
    • Banish two DE-23 to summon SF-00. 2000dmg.
    • Special Summon RF-33. 2000 + 1400 = 3400dmg.
    • Special Summon TU-60. 3400 + 1500 = 4900dmg.
    • Normal Summon FD-43. 4900 + 2800 = 7700dmg.
    • Tribute any KA for TU's eff. gg
  • Even without that FTK, those two DE-23s are coming back. Even without the burn damage from SF-00, have a free Volcasaurus to do some more burn damage and Gaia that to do some more piercing damage.

Honestly, I'm more than a little worried about this whole archetype as it is, because they can just do insane amount of damage in such a short amount time without needing to do much work. Plus, they get all the fun that comes with being DARK and Machines.

I like the look of that Levelutionary monster. Though that's probably because I quite like the LV monsters.

Anyways, figured I'd try expanding a little on the ideas I had with These cards here.

  • Budding Magician
  • Level 3/EARTH Attribute
  • Plant/Effect
  • 900/600
  • You can Special Summon this card by discarding a level 6 or higher Plant-type monster. If this card is tributed for a Tribute Summon, you can add a 'Petal Magician' or 'Petal Magician Girl' from your deck to your hand or graveyard. This card gains 100 attack points for every 'Petal Counter' on it.
  • A child magician, dressed mainly in green and waving a small wand in front of a large tree. Androgynous features.

  • The Innocent Flower Girl
  • Level 1/EARTH Attribute
  • Plant/Effect
  • 0/100
  • If this face-up monster would be destroyed by battle, you can remove 'Petal Counter's from the field for every 500 points of damage you would take; this card is not destroyed, and the opponent's monster is switched to defense position while this card remains on the field.
  • a cheerful looking young girl standing within a clearing. She's holding a basket filled with flowers, and offering one to the 'camera'.

  • Konohanasakuya - The Goddess of Blossom
  • Level 9/LIGHT Attribute
  • Plant/Effect
  • 2750/2600
  • The Normal, Flip or Special Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Summoned, place ten 'Petal Counter's on any face-up Plant-type monsters on the field. Those monsters gain 100 attack points for each 'Petal Counter' placed on them. When this card leaves the field, remove all 'Petal Counter's from the field and choose one of these effects:
    • Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of Petal Counters x 100, or;
    • Special Summon a Plant-type monster from your hand, deck or graveyard whose level is equal to or lower than the number of 'Petal Counter's, excluding this card.
  • A beautiful woman with flowing robes, surrounding by all manner of plants.

  • Sakura Nightmare
  • Continuous Spell Card
  • Once per turn, during each of your main phases add four 'Petal Counter's to any card(s) that you can place a 'Petal Counter' on. During each of your End Phases, remove two 'Petal Counter's from the field. If you do not, destroy this card.
  • A whirlwind of cherry blossoms, blocking the view of everything. Some of the petals seem to have withered into a brown/black state.

  • Veil of Petals
  • Continuous Trap
  • If a face-up Plant-type monster is attacked, you can remove two 'Petal Counter's from the field to negate it.
  • A wall constructed of cherry blossom petals protects a Budding Magician from an attack by Gagaga Kid.

The Boss monster's been altered to require banishing 3 of them.

And it does lock down your own spell and trap zone, meaning if something goes wrong, you have nothing to defend yourself with.

As for the amount of damage these things deal, its meant to represent that D'Hale is, among the villains, singularly obsessed with inflicting damage to the opponent in frequently excessive amounts.

Minor note, but I added that Konohana can't summon herself back/another copy using her own effect, since it was pointed out that could probably be abused.

  • Nice Boat
  • Level 10
  • Water / Machine
  • This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by banishing 4 "Boat" monsters from your graveyard (including Yomi Ship), and cannot be special summoned in other ways. Once per turn, you may special summon 1 Level 4 or lower Water monster from your hand. It is destroyed at the end of the turn. You may return 1 Ship monster from the banished zone to your deck to destroy 1 card your opponent controls. If this card would be destroyed during either player's turn, you may banish 1 Ship monster from your side of the field to negate the destruction.
  • 3000/2000
  • A strange yacht spattered with the blood of those who dared obstruct its path in the seas, floating amiably by, dissonantly so, a woman clutching a thing that looks like a man's head standing at the prow. It has an incredibly sinister aura.

I decided to jump in and join in the card creation business. All of these are based upon movies, and as such aren't really original, but I thought I'd share them with you.

These four cards are based off of Little Shopof Horrors, especially the theater and 1986 movie version.

Alien Plant LV 3

  • Level 3
  • EARTH/Plant
  • 900/1100
  • During your Standby Phase, pay 500 Life Points and send this card to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon one "Alien Plant LV 5" from your hand or Deck.
  • A large green stripes bulb sitting on top of soil in a small red pot with two leaves sticking out of the sides and a toothy grin coming from the top of the bulb.

Alien Plant LV 5

  • Level 5
  • EARTH/Plant
  • 1900/2250
  • Once per turn, send 2 cards from your hand to the Graveyard in order to destroy one of your opponent's face-up monsters who has an ATK that is equal to or lower than this card. During the End Phase of a turn that this card destroyed a monster, send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon 1 "Alien Plant LV 7" from your hand or Deck.
  • A green stripped bulb on top of a green stem coming out of a red pot with a toothy grin and four leaves. It is looking at something off screen.

Alien Plant LV 7

  • Level 7
  • EARTH/Plant
  • 2450/2850
  • This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Alien Plant LV 5". Once per turn, send one card in your hand to the Graveyard in order to destroy one of your opponent's face-up monsters with an ATK equal to or less than this card's ATK.
  • A much larger bulb sitting in a very large planting pot. Has a few smaller bulbs and vines growing out of it.

Alien Plant LV 9

  • Level 9
  • EARTH/Plant
  • 2950/3500
  • This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by releasing 1 "Alien Plant LV 7" you control. During your Main Phase, send a card from your hand to the Graveyard in order to destroy one of your opponent's monsters.
  • A huge bulb surround by smaller bulbs. All of the bulbs look like they're about to eat the whomever is looking at them.

These next few should be obvious were they come from. I've been watching too much of it, and these came to mind.

Wreck-It Ralph

  • Level 8
  • EARTH/Warrior
  • 2900/2900
  • Discard one card in order to destroy one card on the field.

Fix-It Felix, Jr.

  • Level 3
  • WIND/Warrior
  • 0/500
  • Once per turn, you can negate the destruction of a card. During the End Phase this card was destroyed, you can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

Niceland Apartments

  • Field Spell
  • Whenever the destruction of this card is negated, add 1 "Fix-It" Counter to this card. Increase the ATK and DEF of all monsters you control by 500 plus another 500 for each "Fix-It" counter on this card.

Specially Baked Homemade Invincibility Pie

  • Quick Spell
  • Select 1 Level 3 or lower monster you control. Until the End Phase, this card cannot be destroyed, and its ATK is increased by half of it's original ATK.
  • A pie glowing in rainbow colors.

Thought I'd try and just support an archetype that's already there this time rather than make my own. Sorry, but I'm not experienced enough to rate the ones above.

Efficiency of the Six Samurai

  • Spell, Continuous
  • When a card(s) on your side of the field would gain a Bushido counter, you may discard one card from your hand and those card(s) gain an extra Bushido Counter.
"The Six Samurai - Zanji" is practicing his sword strikes against training dummies. On each dummy, the cut in it is sharper and smoother the closer it is to Zanji's current practice

Shien's Charge

  • Trap
  • If you control a "Great Shogun Shien", "Legendary Six Samurai- Shi En" or "Shadow of the Six Samurai - Shien", negate it's effects (select one if you control more than one) then destroy it and if you do, destroy all monsters your opponent controls. You cannot declare a direct attack this turn.
Shown from behind, "Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En" charges into battle aboard "Legendary Ebon Steed". His opponents number four, and are all framed in shadow
Electro-shock
  • Trap
  • If you control 2 or more "Batteryman" monsters and your opponent actives a trap or spell card, negate the activation and if you do, destroy the card
"Batteryman AA" shocks down a Fiendish Chain

Battery Factory

  • Spell, Field
  • If this card is on the field, you may Normal Summon 2 "Batteryman" monsters in place of your Normal Summon
Image of a coveyor belt on a construction line. Two "Batteryman D" are in the process of being constructed.

Jump Leads

  • Spell, Quick
  • Target up to two "Batteryman" monsters from your Graveyard and Special Summom them. During the next End Phase, banish these cards.
A broken "Batteryman AAA" is being given charge through the charging leads attached to "Batteryman Industrial Strength"

Batteryman Generator

  • Monster (LIGHT, Rank 4)
  • Thunder / Xyz / Effect
  • 2600/1600
  • 3 Level 4 "Batteryman" Monsters. Once per turn, you may detach one Xyz Material from this card to destroy one card on your opponent's side of the field and if it was a monster increase this card's ATK by half of that card's ATK until the End Phase.
A sentient electric generator

@tclittle - Any particular reason why you chose to not allow Alien Plant LV7 to use the level-up mechanic to become LV9? If you're looking at the Armed Dragon series for the reason, it's because Armed Dragon LV10 was printed some time after LV8 was printed, so they couldn't go back and ret-con the text to have LV8 be able to level-up into it. In this instance, since you're making all the cards right now, there really isn't any particular reason not to allow the level-up (and indeed, it'd allow for the support to work better).

Also, the invincibility pie card won't fully work on Fix-It Felix, since his original ATK is 0. Not sure if you meant it that way or not.

even more random Plant-types! Now with 37% more picture descriptions! also added them for the cards further up.

...Also, any critique is welcomed, since I plan to incorprorate these cards into a fic at some point, so I'd rather avoid any horribly broken stuff.

  • Rafflesia, Devourer of Life
  • Level 6/EARTH Attribute
  • Plant/Effect
  • 0/2000
  • Flip: Destroy the monster that attacked this card. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard, destroy all monsters your opponent controls, excluding Plant-type monsters.
  • A large rafflessia deep within a forest, closing around a trapped victim.

  • Garden of the Sun
  • Field Spell Card
  • All face-up Plant-type monsters gain 300 attack/defense points. Depending on the amount of 'Petal counter's on the field, this card gains these effects:
    • 2/4/6/8 Counters: All plant-types can inflict piercing damage to your opponent's monsters.
    • 1/3/7/9 Counters: Plant-type monsters on your side of the field cannot be destroyed in battle.
    • 10+ Plant type monsters cannot be destroyed in battle, and inflict piercing damage to the opponent's monsters.
  • A seemingly endless sea of sunflowers, with a woman holding a parasol seen in the distance.

  • Pollination Boost
  • Quick-play Spell Card
  • Discard an Insect-type monster; increase the attack and defense points of a selected Plant-type monster on the field by half the attack/defense points of the discarded monster, until the End Phase.
  • A Bee-list Soldier is desperately flying towards a Dandylion, reaching out for the Bee as a WIND monster of some sort attacks it.

[up][up] Actually, the Alien Plant series I developed years ago, the last time I was into making cards. I had specifically modeled the series after the Armed Dragon series. I should point out I'm not really that big into the game itself, and I don't keep up when cards come out. I'll go ahead and see about changing it.

As for the invincibility pie, that's intentional. I wanted to give the card some other function other than making the monster invincible. Also, if you've watched Wreck-It Ralph, you'll notice Felix can't really hurt anything, and is really weak. That's why I gave him his non-existent ATK and low DEF, but I gave him a powerful ability to make up for it.

Mmm. Fair enough for the pie.

And yes, Armed Dragon is an anomaly among the LV monsters, because it's final level had a staggered release. I wouldn't recommend that as an exact model, but whatever floats your boat.

Even more Plant stuff!

  • Prickly Thorns
  • Continuous Trap
  • Every time a Plant-type monster on your side of the field attacks or is attacked, deal 300 points of damage. If the attacked/attacking Plant-type Monster on your side of the field has 'Rose' in its name, decrease the opponents' monsters' attack by 200 at the end of the damage step.
  • A 'Fallen Angel of Roses' is seen whipping an Ojama monster.

  • Nature Preservation Tactics
  • Continuous Spell
  • When resolving effects that require 'Petal Counter's, use one less counter.
  • ...I guess someone would be protecting a tree?

And just because the pun is too tempting:

  • Blue-Eyes White Dragonfly
  • LIGHT Attribute/Insect
  • 3000/2500
  • "An insect said to rival the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It is said that three cans of bug-spray are needed to fell this mighty creature."
  • It's like a blue-eyes. Except more dragonfly...ish.

  • Normal Trap
  • Destroy all monsters you control, then, if their combined levels equal 8 or more, destroy a number of cards your opponent controls up to the number of your cards destroyed by this card's effect and Special Summon one "Gogiga Gagagigo" from your deck. "Gogiga Gagagigo" cannot attack directly this turn.

[up][up]The Jump Leads sounds like a weaker version of what revival cards they already have, but I suppose it'll help set up xyz's/atteryman OTK situations. The wording of the field spell confuses me, but I guess it's like those cards that say 'Normal Summon this monster, then Normal Summon another'?

[up]Since it seems I didn't actually comment on them earlier, anything that makes classic cards somewhat usable is awesome.

But now that's out of the way, onto what you asked about...(knowing diddly squat about Batteryman stuff).

Electro Shock....I can't see it as any worse than Gladiator Beast's Chariot. I don't think it's a problem much, though I could be wrong about that.

Factory now....*twitches* free..double..summoning......gah. Admittedly, the wording appears to make it mandatory that you summon both at once, and explicit that they have to be both Batteryman monsters, but still...Double Summon effects aren't usually this draw-back free.

Jump Leads....Summon two monsters, tribute or otherwise send them to the grave before the End Phase, disadvantage avoided. I'd personally have the wording banish them during the next End Phase or whenever it leaves field, whichever comes first, but that's just me and wanting to avoid such loopholes.

Charger...I think is fine. Maybe a couple hundred points off the attack (you aren't going to not want to target a monster with it, so it might have in excess of 3000 ATK on your turns), but not really a necessary thing.

EDIT: Due to being Ninja'd, Tachi your answer comes! Why not make the wording on the first one something like "Summon a Gigo monster whose level is less than or equal to the combined level of the destroyed monsters"? It would increase the usability a little bit, rather than being a conditional 1-1. And still have the destruction only trigger off of summoning Giga Gagagigo.

To be fair, even if it just destroyed them...or even if it just summoned them in defense position, Jump Leads would still be weaker than a lot of revival cards nowadays.

And that would probably be a good idea, yeah. I'll make that change at some point.

I know, it's not that great of a card comparatively, but I still would try to close up loopholes like that out of principle more than balance.

Let's see, time to finish off these Petal Counter cards with what is hopefully a way to balance the potential ability to end up with ludicrous amounts. And if anyone wants to critique the archetype, here is some links.

  • Flower-Eating Eater of Flowers
  • Level 4/EARTH Attribute
  • Plant/Effect
  • 2300/0
  • This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing four 'Petal Counter's from the field. If this card declares an attack, remove two 'Petal Counter's from the field at the end of the Damage Step.
  • Something that looks like a tree with a face is lumbering around a forest, hunting for Dandylions.

  • The Legendary Warrior-Gardener
  • Level 3/EARTH Attribute
  • Warrior/Effect
  • 1300/1100
  • As long as this card remains face-up on the field, 'Petal Counter's on the field won't deplete, unless used for Summoning. When this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, add two 'Petal Counter's to the field.
  • A silver-haired girl is seen cutting tall grass with her sword. Somehow reaching far longer than her blade really should.

  • The Cursed Tree of Cherry Blossoms
  • Level 8/DARK Attribute
  • Plant/Effect
  • 0/2900
  • During each of your Standby Phases, place two 'Petal Counter's on the field. During each of your End Phases, remove three 'Petal Counter's. Plant-Type monsters are also treated as Zombie-type monsters while this card is face-up on the field. When this card is destroyed, remove half of your 'Petal Counter's (rounding down) and, then you can Special Summon a 'The Legendary Warrior-Gardener' from your deck.
  • A bare tree with a faint, malicious aura surrounding it. A woman is seen resting at its base, looking a bit too pale...

  • Replacement Bouquet
  • Normal Spell Card
  • Select a number of 'Petal Counter's (1-3) and replace them with 'Flower Counter's or 'Plant Counter's. Place the counters on the appropriate cards ('The World Tree' and 'Seed Cannon' respectively).
  • The Innocent Flower girl is handing over a bouquet to an elderly woman.

  • Weeding
  • Normal Spell Card
  • Send a level 3 or lower Plant-type Monster from the deck to the graveyard. You cannot Special Summon the turn you activate this card, unless you remove five 'Petal Counter's from the field.
  • ...I guess someone is burying a Dandylion or a Spore?

  • Gardener Wanted!
  • Normal Spell Card
  • For every card on the field that has a 'Petal Counter'(s) on it, double the amount of 'Petal Counter's it has. During the End Phase, remove all 'Petal Counter's you have remaining. For the next two turns after the End Phase, you cannot add 'Petal Counter's to the field.
  • A silver-haired girl is seen slashing at a giant tree that seems to be raining cherry blossoms onto the area.
