^ Let's face it, "morphogenetic field" is code for "deus ex machina".
^@Cakman: Some hidden door, maybe? One Aoi and Akane modified themselves or something? They just needed to give Junpei a heart-attack with making June disappear to make him realize he has to do something to save Akane...nice trick, actually. Can't think of how else...
And sorry I did not reply your PM yet, I read it already but had to time replying at that time, and now I can't find the PM anymore to reply...is there a storage of P Ms of each user somewhere? I can't find it, I only find the form where you write a new PM...
About that... According to the author, Present!Akane simply walked out of the room when no one was looking.
Initially, it bugged me that no one would notice her leaving the room, so while replaying the true ending I took note of the layout of the incinerator and character locations as best I could.
I'm not sure about the shape of the room (I imagine the room would be nine-sided), but this still works. Note that June is located in the corner between the two open entrances, behind everyone else. It would be easy for her to leave without being seen, because the others were preoccupied with Ace. She probably left sometime after Ace dropped the gun and was attacked by Seven.

Just got this for Christmas, though according to my mother, just finding a copy was a quest in and of itself. Apparently, when she tried our usual game store, she learned they'd only ordered one — and had already sold it. They called another of their stores across town, who stocked it, so she snagged it there. When she mentioned to the clerk that the first store had only had one copy, they told her they'd only gotten one in as well; the one she was buying.
She made it sound like she'd gone to find it right after it was first released, too... Was this just something that happened in my area, or are retailers just not expecting this to sell well...?
Shame, too, because I'm really enjoying it so far.
^I think it also has something to do with the company Aksys, it is a rather small company and whatnot. I read elsewhere that similar problems were encountered by other players, so it isn't just your place.
Never Give UpOnly the hardcore complete the final puzzle without turning the DS upside-down.
My only goal in life is to ensure that Mousa dies of a stress-induced heart attack by the age of 23. READ THIS^^ Heh, THAT'S a nice idea to make the epic last puzzle FREAKISH awesome xDDDD
Also, Happy New Year, it's approaching!
Somehow I never thought of that. I suppose with the stylus it wouldn't really matter, would it? I guess I'm accidentally hardcore.
Anyway, just played this game now, seemed basically to be Ever 17-lite, with the addition of silly puzzles. Which, admittedly, were justified by the plot. Given how every damned character constantly rambles on about morphogenic fields at the slightest opportunity (when we're freezing to death? really?), the plot-twist at the end wasn't really a twist so much as Chekhov's machine gun.

It's official. According to Word of God, Seven/Lotus is canon.
That's the part you consider important?
Dears gods, this Q&A is long. I'll have to get back to it later.
Learned about this game from the Ghost Trick topic. Anyone know of a European release date?
DumboI just got this game via amazon, and I am loving it so far.
I would still be playing it, if not for lack of batteries. XD
I appear to have somehow placed myself on the path to the Coffin Ending. The name does not fill me with hope. -_-
I really hope there is some way to save Snake, from what little I saw of him I liked him.
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."Mm, well, I wish everyone who is still playing a lot of fun and who finished, spread the love!
Currently reading through that super-long Q&A I didn't know existed until five minutes ago...some fan I am.
Never Give UpEh...what do you mean the Q&A doesn't end with 90 questions answered...? 81 would've done it, too. Oh well xD
Never Give UpI got the coffin ending. D:
Now working on the safe ending.
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."There you go! And yay for TWEWY quote in your signature~
Safe ending...
;_;
Now for the sub ending, 'cause it's easy to get.
And then the true ending!
EDIT: Scratch the sub ending. I don't like its route at all.

"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."...elaborate? What exactly don't you like with that route? I'm just curious xD
On another note, according to Word of God Akane is quite a ruthless person. What has happened back then other than herself being locked up in the incinerator, mental pressure, almost-death and all? According to Word of God (again) there must have happened something else or multiple smaller things added up that snapped her innocence into a revengeful, brilliant mastermind...

Never Give UpI got the true ending. Man that is brilliant!
The stuff I didn't like about the Sub route (though I'll probably go through it anyway, eventually) is how You basically turn everyone against you when you go through door 3. Not fun.
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."I KNOW RIGHT? Also, check out the Q&A on the official English site here even if you have everything figured out on your own. I mean, it is Word of God, why not reading? :D
Ah yes, didn't know Junpei could be like that and the others are understandably angry... after all, they ALL die because of this choice...or well, this choice preludes everyone's death...are forced to the ending where everyone's death...or however you want to express this. Fact is this: Nice Job Breaking It, Hero...or something?
Never Give UpSo apparently Junpei will never meet Akane ever again(according to the Word of God) after the true ending.
What the fuck. That shit is...not nice.
@Icas
It could have been sarcastic.
...
I hope it is. ;_;
Well, it says Junpei spends his life chasing after her, it never says that he never actually finds her...
"The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."Well, Word of God kind of baits us with a possible Sequel-promise. So we can assume that if there will be no sequel, his words will become true, sarcasm or not.
So let's root for a sequel!!!

...Holy shit, Voltech.
..It all... It all makes sense now. Deloreans! THEY HAVE DELOREANS! THAT'S HOW MORPHOGENETIC FIELDS WORK!
Hey, by the way, when did June leave the incinerator? Because she was outside in the car with Santa at one point, right? So how did she get outside? She just, sorta... Disappeared.
