No 40K thread yet? I'm surprised. Nay, shocked, shocked I say to discover there's gambling going on in this establishment...
I'm eagerly anticipating the imminent 5th Edition release, personally, but I was interested to know if anyone here plays and has a differing opinion on it. There are certainly plenty of people out there who seem to think that 40K 4th edition "only just" came out and that a new edition isn't needed. Anyone?
Warhammer Fantasy (including Age of Sigmar and WFRP) has its own thread here.

Yes, but who did he cut them off?
And Slaanesh doesn't have to expend any favor, power, or effort. The perfect puppet.
It does? he is not like Ahirman who have the mark of chaos, I think fabius is not aling to any chaos gods.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Do you know what you call a Chaos servant who insists they're merely using Chaos and they don't need it? A Chaos servant.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.On one hand, he is not like horus who chuck on chaos, he more of a freelancer(or the equivalent).
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Sure, but Chaos doesn't have a subscription model where you just pay for what you need and don't bother each other outside of that. It's a one way street. Fabius thinks he's his own master, so do Ahriman and Abaddon. They're all wrong.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Fabius and Ahzek still follow the Chaos Gods in their own way even if they don't want to admit it. The funny thing is that they follow the more positive traits of the Chaos Gods.
Fabius as mentioned above is in tune with Slaanesh' pursuit of perfection and improvement. Ahzek is motivated by hope, something that Tzeentch embodies.

Disgusted, but not surprisedTheres a reason Tzeentch is the most busted of the chaos gods.
I still think Khorne is the strongest of the four, because his domain includes war. And the galaxy has been at war for over ten thousand years.
Disgusted, but not surprisedTzeentch actively weakens himself to be on the other three's level.
Tzeentch plays the game not to win but for the sake of keeping the game going.
Disgusted, but not surprisedTzeetch is meta powerfull in that he pursuit the great game for the sake of it, meaning he know nobody else can win.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Tzeentch is the player who obsesses over strategies and counter-strategies.
Khorne just wants to see a battlefield full of figures.
Slaanesh obsesses over the paint jobs of the figures.
Nurgle is that player who thinks basic hygiene is a lower priority than their Warhammer 40k hobby.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIf you ever read eye of terror, a lord of change and a bloodthirster actually do that: they pick each one a planet, create a super duper briged between those two and throw each other army in a lovecrafnian recreation of a tabletop game
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"What does this make The Emperor then?
He's the asshole player who thinks he's hot shit and looks down on everyone else.
Disgusted, but not surprisedSo a meta-gamer then.
Anyway, today's Forge World pre-order: Horus Heresy Dark Angel Inner Circle Terminators. I like their wrist-mounted plasma weapons.
Surely there must be a limit to the number of minimally-different Terminator variants Forge World can put out.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Well they can do at least 18.
@M84
Count me as a Slaaneshi by that criterion then.
"THIS SINGLE THICK COAT OFFENDS SLAANESH!"
Tzeentch plays every faction.
Khorne just plays the melee-heavy factions.
Slaanesh owns every faction because they had creative flights of fancy painting them, but only really plays a choice few because owning the factions were purely due to these short-lived flights of fancy.
Nurgle also plays pretty much every faction but it's hard to tell at first glance because they all just about look alike anyway after he's been through with them.
The God-Emperor would most likely be a "Stop Having Fun" Guy, I'd argue.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"Given his political philosophy he's also That Guy who plays every WWII wargame ever but for some reason only collects German armies for them.
Fabius does have balls to said the gods have nothing to give him while he does have to give to them.
