No it doesn't, in the movie it was a stray shot from a passing ship. She didn't make any personal broadcasts from up there...
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI don't think Keybounce realizes just how big that dish is. A little explosion just below and to the side isn't going to hurt it at all. I'm looking forward to his/her reaction when the Peace Moon takes it out.
The fact that the dish-moving controls and transmission controls are in different places (unless they aren't in this version) hasn't been made as clear.

Ah, so now we finally get the dramatic, mind-blowing origin story behind Galen Erso's dark obsession with PowerPoint.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I have a feeling Jyn Erso fires the death star.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youWell, since Pete's no longer alive to do it...
I don't see how, unless she can remote control it or something.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"GM: Director Krennic is dead. [grumbles to self] He was supposed to be a recurring villain.
Jyn Erso: I loot his body!
GM: You find a radio communicator, a dozen Imperial credits, and an officer's blaster pistol.
Jyn Erso: I turn on the radio and call the last frequency Krennic did.
Peace Moon Technician: Thank you for calling the Peace Moon Weapon Control Room. How can I help you today, Director Krennic?
Jyn Erso: Yes, I'm Krennic and definitely not a Rebel who just stole Krennic's radio!
Peace Moon Technician: Of course you are, sir. Now, what do you need us to shoot at?
Pete: Hey! Why does Jim get to control the doomsday weapon instead of me?
Jyn Erso: Shoot Toprawa with the Peace Moon!
[Speechless reactions from everyone around the table]
Peace Moon Technician: But Director Krennic, aren't you on Topra—
Jyn Erso: That's an order! Shoot it!
Peace Moon Technician: Commence firing sequence...
Sally: Jim, what the heck are you doing?
Jyn Erso: This'll get rid of all the enemies here! And once they're gone, we can sort through the wreckage and find the information we're looking for—the location of Kamino!
Pete: I take it back. This is way more fun than anything I would have done with the Peace Moon.
You know, as ridiculous as that sounds, it's exactly the sort of thing I might expect to happen in this campaign.
The sequence of events in the film doesn't quite support it, but that's never stopped this comic.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Hahaha!! That's great!
Was this some sort of great reveal in the movie, too?
In the movie, Tarkin orders the Death Star to fire on the planet to stop the transmission of the files. Krennic is alive long enough to watch his own creation vaporize him and the continent he's on.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youIs what a reveal? In the film, all that sepia tone stuff is in the prologue. We're only seeing it via flashback because of the order in which the scenes are being shown in the comic.
If you mean the Death Star firing on Toprawa, no, that's not a "reveal" in any sense.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Slight correction: these sepia-toned scenes are a flashback in the movie, but the flashback plays much earlier and without much fanfare. IIRC, it's presented while Jyn is sleeping aboard the U-Wing en route to Jedha (or maybe that was to Eadu?) and it's implied that she's dreaming about the past.
It's a scene from the days when Galen Erso and Orson Krennic were still on good terms, so it'd have to precede the opening scene from the movie anyway.
Episode 1729: Point of No Return
(Annoyed grunt)Aha, the payoff! Love it. Amusingly, for all the tangled twists and turns that are caused by Jim's brainless roleplaying style, this particular moment is something I might have found even more compelling in the film.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Keybounce got a movie plot point right! From extrapolating how this Galen may have acted when forced to make weapons, they happen to hit on how movie-Galen did act. Precisely.
Yes, Keybounce will have a field day once they see the movie proper.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Episode 1730: The Bullet Surprise
(Annoyed grunt)Yeah, see. Jim wanted to actually RP for once, and this is the payoff. Too bad his character dies anyway.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Methinks Keybounce is becoming a tad bit cynical.
