"Bad Kitty!"
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!There's been cases where humans who owned cats died. The cats couldn't get out of the house to find food, so acted according to their carnivorous natures. Tends to happen most with hoarder-hermits.
So Krosp's stunt wouldn't have been entirely uncatlike if he were still a normal cat. It's his brain that changes things.
A Jaeger probably learns to suppress perception of unimportant or unnecessary smells in order to be able to focus. Hamburger wasn't important -until it was.
So was Tobber forced to fake his death by circumstances, or did it as part of machinations of the nefarious variety?
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThey're not mutually exclusive.
The clew: the blade of some sort, expertly done. Who ... who ... who?

Mr. Eyeball is in fact a swordfish!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!
In this world, that is ENTIRELY possible.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettWednesday comic [1] and it's either not terribly clear or I need to go to bed.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!Strange links from now to then, from hither to yon. And which nap?
And was it a revenant? You know, the Geisters are real good with swords.
I don't reall understand what they're talking about in the last couple panels. W Hat's "that" referring to ? The blood on the walls ? The bodies ?
The first "that" is the jar of meat, but the second one may well be the blood splatters.
As to the nap thing, it probably will be addressed in the next strip, but I'm guessing Krosp means when he woke up for the first time after the changes that turned him from an ordinary housecat into Krosp, King of the Cats.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpAlternatively, Krosp is one of those cats who doesn't take too well to prolonged sea or air travel in anything smaller than the biggest blimp or tanker in creation. Like, say, the kind you'd need to use to get to Blighty in the first place.
Napping is one way to cope. Or, just shutting down entirely.

Pretty sure he's talking about the nap he took after arriving in England.
Well, first and foremost, if a mad scientist can be made from reconstituted soy products, a mad scientist made out of ground beef (or perhaps regular beef that was ground post-mortem) is not the most outrageous of propositions. In short, if not for that last panel, I could have believed that this was Tobber despite being cattle.
Also, huh, Dimo's nose is significantly redder than it was during the siege of Mechanicsburg. Or When Agatha learned he became a brevet general. He probably is slightly ill.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.'poppa' almost certainly refers to Dr. Dmitri Vapnoodle, before said noodle was Vaped. Remember 'poppa's bears'?
No, I think Krosp woke up here, in England, and Tobber was talking to the current braincored version of Vapnoople.
Oh, that's right!
Ohmigosh ... is Dr. Vapnoodle another Chekhov's-gun type link?
Does the time-locked Klaus have secrets on the subject? Secrets deeper than a Spark's sausage-making machine monster?

Friday's comic [1] Muwahahahahaha!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!...Are we totally sure Krosp isn't the least bit Sparky, himself?

Wait, Krosp was created after the Baron started chopping up Vapnoodle's brain? I simultaneously have a lot of questions I didn't have before and a lot of answers I didn't have before. I hope some of them fit together.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. He certainly has the laugh . . .
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!I would assume that the brain-coring process isn't/wasn't a one-day thing. The Baron drilled some holes, then let Vapnoople do his thing with Krosp, proving he's still a Spark, so more drilling...
The public version of the making of Krosp was to make a supercat that could command all cats so that they'd have a cat spy ring.
Anybody who knows normal cats would have known this was doomed to failure.
Vapnoople apparently took advantage of the project to create his ultimate commander for his bears, before he was cored into imbecility.
Krosp has shown how effective a Spark-altered cat can be at spying, though. When he's not distracted by food.
Since Krosp had a double-layered origin, it's no wonder he's bit weird, even for a cat.

In the dictionary, next to the word "futile", they list "Attempting to guess the outcome of a plot arc in Girl Genius."
