- Alternate Character Interpretation:
- This story is because of it — in Oh God, Not Again!, where the author’s interpretation of Gilderoy Lockhart actually turned him into a fan favourite, leading to the authorship of this story where Lockhart is even more nuanced.
- It seems that, even with all his memories erased, Professor Quirrel is still a bastard. On the other hand, all things considered, post-Obliviation Voldemort doesn't seem all that bad — with some fans feeling that Obliviating him and having him live out a new, better life is actually a more interesting, more compassionate way of defeating him than the canon one.
- Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Not only does the author create a likable Lockhart, she also manages to make Rita Skeeter tolerable.
