• Spiritual Successor: To The Quintessential Quintuplets, being a harem rom-com where the girls in the harem are all sisters, relies on mystery and story arcs, a theme of family, and foreseeing future events as an integral part of its narrative. This isn't surprising given that the author had previously worked on Quintuplets itself as an assistant.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: How some felt Shirahi was handled. While it's good for Uryuu to gain an expanded social network like the Amagami sisters do with their friends, and Shirahi gets a dedicated arc to her feelings for Uryuu, she gets dropped with little fanfare immediately afterwards and only makes scant appearances, with the Inugami siblings largely filling her role of bringing Uryuu's medical aspirations to the forefront. Following chapters have Uryuu hardly mentioning her at all despite their childhood closeness. Even for fans who only wanted the Amagamis as his primary love interests, her handling felt very awkward.
