- Anvilicious: The way "Sticky Fingers Duck" delivers its "stealing is wrong" Aesop is about as heavy-handed as one would expect for a show which regularly drops literal anvils on characters' heads.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- The candy bar monster from "Sticky Fingers Duck" likely scared any little kids watching it from ever thinking about shoplifting.
- "Duck in the Dark" is pretty notable among the fanbase for being one of the scariest segments of the series, thanks to Plucky's nightmares. A crowning moment is Nightmare Buster, who is very grotesque looking and loses an eye as he growls at Plucky.
- For that matter, the end of Plucky's shark encounter during his nightmares: Plucky screams in terror as a set of sharp teeth slam shut around him with a clang while a Scare Chord plays.
