- So Okay, It's Average: While some fans appreciate it for being a brand new Peanuts cartoon in a while, others feel it’s lacking. This is due to many things; the characters + even humor feeling watered/toned down, like they’re not allowed to be too mean or angry even for a joke anymore (and if they are, they have to hug it out in the end or something), even if moments are based on strips. Overall some feel it’s watered down compared to even other modern Peanuts media such as the last series in 2014/2016 or the Kaboom comics/graphic novels.
- Another factor of some fans feeling this way is due to Snoopy’s main role in the show. Some feel Snoopy’s pantomime antics only really work as smaller scenes in the B-plot of specials/cartoons. Whereas here since he is given the main screen time, when he’s not interacting with the kids many scenes are just Snoopy doing silly things with Woodstock while making high-pitched noises and it could get old to some people.
