- Informed Wrongness: Although, as Marge confesses to Abe, Homer has a pattern of disappointing Marge, the specific incident he spends the entire episode being punished for is not his fault. He follows Marge's injunction not to drink at the office Christmas party, only for Lenny and Carl to spike the soda he's drinking. The entire episode plays out as if he actually broke his promise to Marge and his friends are never implicated.
