- Alternate Character Interpretation: Renya. The true ending makes it clear that he is happy to see his mother die, but how responsible is he for how things turned out? If he discovers the butchered body of Sarao's mother in the attic, it is pretty notable that he does not tell anyone about it in any of the endings. Did he simply blank it from his mind due to trauma? Did he not want to stir up trouble out of fear that Sarao might try to retaliate against him? Or was it a deliberate omission, and he was actually hoping that Sarao might repeat the act against Renya's own mother at some point in the future?
- Catharsis Factor: Sarao snapping and killing the kids' mother in the ending is a highly satisfying moment, as the cruel and abusive bitch finally gets what's coming to her. Turns out, even Renya agrees, but not Sakiko.
