YMMV / The Business Of Dying

Go To

  • Esoteric Happy Ending: Dennis is heading off to the Phillippines, where Tomboy is offering him a good place to stay and job; Nigel Grayley has been imprisoned for his crimes of molesting and killing children, as well as being part of a huge illegal immigrant chain with Raymond Keen and Mehmet Illan, though he does commit suicide in his cell; Molly and the other girls have been avenged and Anne has turned up safe and sound, albeit still on a rather dangerous, self-destructive road. But ultimately, Dennis has been turned into an outcast, became a fugitive to keep his freedom, he is a known suspect of the Traveller's Rest murders... and still gets off scott-free, but admitting he would never have shot, had he known what was behind everything.
  • Moral Event Horizon:
    • Dennis can be seen as having crossed it when he bound Alan Kover to a chair, tortured him by pouring boiling hot water over his thighs and crotch, to force him into talking. And then killing him by pouring gasoline over Alan and burning him alive.
    • It's difficult to say when Raymond Keen crossed it, since he seems pretty irredeemable from the get-go. It's either when he killed Barry, the son of a friend of his, for knowing about the hit or much, much later with the revelation that he filmed Nigel Grayley's disgusting sexual antics with the kidnapped children.
