• Fair for Its Day: This episode came long before mainstream awareness of obsessed fans and celebrity stalking. While Marcia surely can't be called an obsessed fan of Davy Jones (although a die-hard fan), her behavior — tracking him to his hotel room and then later the recording studio — would be classified as stalking, even if Marcia had no such intent. (And these days, if her teachers didn't, Mike and Carol would help her understand this.) And, Marcia would be turned down flat (and not so nicely) by Davy's manager at every turn and eventually would have no choice but to admit defeat.
