• Accidental Aesop: Gumball and Darwin, despite having relatively good lives, begin complaining about every little thing that even mildly irritates them early in the episode. This backfires on them when people mistake them for abuse victims and begin offering them charity that they don't need or want, ending in the townspeople getting angry with Gumball and Darwin for lying about how bad their lives are. The (unintentional) lesson from all this is that you shouldn't complain unnecessarily about things that aren't a big deal, or people will take pity on you even if you don't want it. Additionally, you should be grateful for what you have; however bad you think your life is, there are plenty of other people whose lives are far worse.
