- Spiritual Successor: Given the two-parter is in effect a psychological horror where Sam finds himself repeatedly overtaken by the leapee's subconscious, to the point where Sam only barely manages to regain control in order to (at least somewhat) save the day, this season opener is just a longer version of "Dreams" from Season 4.
