• Angst? What Angst?: When Jessica leaves Mel and takes Lindsey, she's shown to be upset that their owners are breaking up but isn't shown to care that she's also being taken away from her sister. In fact, Haylee is not seen or mentioned during this scene. This is in contrast to when the dogs are separated in the opening scene, when they are clearly sad that they're not both being adopted together. In fact, both times when they reunite, their happiness is downplayed. When they find out that the ones who bought them separately just happen to be a couple, they see each other, not acting too excited, with just a casual "I knew I'd find you" from one of the puppies. And by the time they reunite, they had actually forgotten about each other.
