However, since this is all revealed through flashbacks, it's unlikely that the audience had any sympathy for him when they learn this.
• Shocking Moments: Jasmine's final battle with Warren is one huge moment after another. Part 4 as well, once the bombshells start dropping.
• The Woobie:

• Jasmine has a lot of problems and goes through all kinds of crap both in the main story and in flashbacks. The story also does a lot to deconstruct this idea. Jasmine's friends put her on a pedestal and perceive her as being emotionally fragile to the point where they come up with a convoluted scheme to try and help her. When it backfires, she's even worse off than she was at the start of the story.
• Ethan is probably one of the worstto be born with gender dysphoria with an authoritarian and traditionalist father,the day he tried to tell him his father reacts badly hitting him brutally to the point of breaking his jaw and exiling him from his home using a pokemon trip as an excuse,he constantly has feelings of inadequacy which causes relationship problems with his girlfriend lyra culminating in her leaving him for silver and a failed suicide attempt.
• In the mini story"transmutation" it is revealed that silver as in the games is a woodie of the jerkass variant, being even worse:born to giovanni and athena,his mother only granted him as a way to have influence over giovanni only for him to only choose team rocket over her own son leaving him with feelings of abandonment,his mother was no better either as she was emotionally neglectful to leave him alone for much of his childhood,when he confronts his father he relieves himself of multiple scars on his forearm leaving silver implicitly self righteous ,Angry, grumpy and violent as silver is, he obviously comes from a place of pain.

• volkner in the mini-story "path of least resistance" is of the stoic variant, it is revealed that he comes from a broken family where his parents argue constantly and both cheated on each other which caused volkner to have multiple half siblings,during his teenage years he along with his(then)best friend befriended a weird kid named gill,until gill was exposed as gay suffering brutal bullying and flint did not jump to his defense leaving volkner to suffer because he was associated with gill,the story ends with volkner depressed due to gill's suicide,his family wasted his education money in a costly divorce and leaving him on the verge of suicide.
