• Alas, Poor Villain: Volrath's brutal execution at the end of Nemesis. It helps that he was much less of a Card-Carrying Villain in that book and was clearly the Lesser of Two Evils compared to Crovax.
• The Scrappy: Haddad is widely hated for his non-stop whining. Most of Prophecy is told from his point of view, yet he does absolutely nothing.
• Trapped by Mountain Lions: Most of Prophecy has absolutely nothing to do with the main storyline of the Weatherlight Saga and is also very poorly written.
