• Arc Fatigue: This stretch of videos was heavily derided by fans, who were mostly annoyed that it seemed to just drag on and on while barely advancing the plot at all.
  • To wit: of the 16 episodes, 3 are pure Filler, 2 are Hymn of One ads (while plot-relevant and entertaining for the people on the forums who like solving puzzles, are less interesting for more casual viewers), 2 more are pure Character Development episodes (while entertaining, still don't advance the plot), and another was "In (Search of) sanity", which was not well received.
  • The videos that did advance the plot were relatively well-received for the most part, but most of them still advanced it only at a glacial pace. Not helpful is the fact that several episodes reveal plot-critical information but don't seem to leave our heroes in a better position than before, making it feel like nothing really happened.
  • Finally, the fact it lasted over three weeks while barely budging the plot, while the disappearance of, search for, recovery of Bree took less time than this arc makes the slow pace even more glaring.
• Base-Breaking Character: Taylor started to become this during this arc. This was from a combination of being a principle player in a few badly-received episodes ("A New Lead", "Going Back to Cali") as well as appearing in a couple more emotional scenes than usual, which made Becki Kregoski's poor acting a bit more apparent, combined with the general dissatisfaction with this arc overall (as noted above) made viewers less accepting of Taylor than before.
