• Hollywood Homely: This telenovela desperately tries to convince the viewer that Josefina is an incredibly ugly woman and much older than Dimitrio. There is only one problem: the actress Veronica Jaspeado is a beautiful woman and has the same age as the actor who plays Dimitrio. She was even a candidate for Miss Mexico in 1994! The telenovela tries to use a ridiculous makeup and hairstyles, and conservative clothes to disguise the beauty of the actress. This fails miserably.
• Narm: Every single time Dimitrio mentions how Josefina is an ugly woman, disgusting and much older than him, becomes that for the simple fact that actress Veronica Jaspeado is a young and beautiful woman who is only wearing a wig and conservative clothes.
• She Really Can Act: The only reason Josefina and Dimitrio's plot isn't entirely ridiculous is because Veronica Jaspeado does a great job with the comic and dramatic scenes.
