- Anvilicious: Being optimistic about life is a very good thing, religious faith is something that should be respected and should only be something that you truly believe in, and that life is worth living. However, when NKSCF first started, he was not as great at doing this as he turned out to be later, and was more Anvilicious than necessary.
- Nightmare Fuel: The interrogation scene with Schermz, the first time that Matt has to deal with the fact that Sara was raped, and the gigantic plant creature that almost killed them. Hamdo is probably the scariest anime character ever devised.
