- Awesome Music: "I'll Stay" by Isabela Merced while slightly buried in the credits is perfect for closing the movie and being perfectly thematic to it too.
- Catharsis Factor: After finding out Jacob is a grown man who's preying on the teenage and vulnerable Lizzie, Pete and Ellie track him down at the school where he works as a janitor and beat his ass for sending a graphic photo of himself to Lizzie and requesting she send one herself. Seeing the two beat the crap out of him for being a sexual predator is utterly satisfying. Even the cop that drives them to jail admits that, as a father himself, he would have done the same thing and supports their actions.
- Heartwarming Moments:
- Pete and Ellie finally getting to adopt Lizzie, Juan, and Lita at the end of the movie.
- The closing credits, featuring pictures of real-life adoptive families, including Sean Anders, the director, his wife Beth, and their children, Johnny, Cha-Cha, and Josh.
