YMMV / Hilda and the Mountain King (2019)

• Magnificent Bastard: Trundle the Mountain King is a disgraced ruler of trolls, who's main goal is to reunite with his mother Amma, buried underneath the city of Trolberg. Hundreds of years ago, he was able to unite majority of other trolls in an attempt to attack the city, only to be defeated and imprisoned. In the present, when now-troll Hilda accidentally stumbles upon his prison, he tricks her into freeing him and returning him his eye. Not long after being freed, Trundle quickly retakes the leadership of trolls with his mere presence and easily reaches the city, only to get killed by Safety Patrol on purpose, so Amma would be forced to rise up and defend her children. In the end, Trundle's actions are what finally allowed Amma and her children to reunite, even if not the way he wanted.
