• Accidental Aesop: A cure that doesn't work for some people may still benefit others. While the episode doesn't go into too much detail about its predecessor, Nibbler's decision to keep his worms alive is treated as just as valid as Fry's previous decision to get rid of his. Once they're treated of their own parasites, the worms are shown to be beneficial to Nibbler, as Nibbler doesn't have the same hang-ups about proving his worth as Fry does and the change is less drastic.
