• Fan Nickname: Fans have come to nickname Blaine "Blaine Montague" and Kennedy "Kennedy Capulet", after the surnames of the title characters of Romeo and Juliet, due to Blaine's status as a forced love interest, as well as their countries being enemies.
• Hype Backlash: Even though the story isn't widely hated, it has disappointed a large number of players hoping for a more immersive experience in politics. They cite improper marketing (the story is supposed to be a political drama, yet the plot focuses more on romance than on politics, to the point it feels more like a romantic drama with political elements) as the main reason for its financial failure.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
  • Ayna. She has the least screen time and premium scenes out of the three love interests, and worse, the writers chose her of all people to betray Kennedy when they could have chosen anyone else, such as a classmate from a country that is enemies with Rutherland and allies with Ardona. Fans believe this is to discourage players from pursuing Ayna, so that they will choose Blaine instead.
  • Tatum to a lesser extent, as he often acts professional and serious, and frequently gives excuses to not actually bond with Kennedy.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Many felt that the story should have been about running for president instead of being a first child trying to navigate politics school.
