• Nightmare Fuel: Druig and the box cutters. His political enemies are dragged from their beds, mostly still in their sleepwear, and brought to a government building. His allies are handed box cutters, pointed at the prisoners and asked to prove their loyalty.
• Tear Jerker: Sprite's death at Zuras' hands. At this point, after everything he's done, he's a fully mortal human child on his way to a new life. He'll get perhaps a century at most, but he'll get to grow up. And then Zuras arrives and it's clear that he won't get that new start after all. Sprite's final plea that he's only a kid - and Zuras's response that Sprite hasn't really been that for half a million years - make it clear that Zuras isn't enjoying revenge, he's just doing his duty and delivering justice.
