• Informed Wrongness: While it’s made clear that Jennifer is to blame for what happened since she chose to cheat and nothing excuses it, Sensei at one point suggested that it can be explained because Matt got too focused with taking care of the kids instead of making sure Jennifer was happy which Matt seems to agree with. This comes across as very unfair however since it’s mentioned that Jennifer often cancelled plans to work late and Matt repeatedly tried reaching out to his wife to try and make things work. Also while he still consults in IT Matt is a stay at home dad while Jennifer works, making this a double standard since the comic reverses traditional gender roles but uses the same excuse typically given for when housewives have affair while the men are away working. As a result it implies that regardless of what role they take in a household, it’s solely the man’s job to ensure their wife is emotionally and sexually satisfied while a woman can’t be fully blamed for having an affair regardless of their role in the household.
