• Diagnosed by the Audience:
  • Ducky probably has depression or anxiety, but it's never directly addressed, and he does not appear to be getting any treatment for it.
  • Maggie's eating disorder is not ambiguous, but it appears that Maggie either has severe anxiety or underlying OCD that might be going untreated.
• Informed Wrongness: Dawn tells Jill that Carol is pregnant, which Carol wanted to be kept secret. Jill accidentally gives it away when she offers to help Carol lift a heavy object, thinking that it might not be safe for a pregnant person to do themselves. The reader is supposed to see this as a serious betrayal of Dawn's trust - even though Dawn told Jill in the first place, when she had been specifically asked not to tell anyone outside the family.
