- The Woobie: Johnny O'Dell is dying of an incurable disease, is afraid to meet up with his online paramour Cheryl Miller in real life, and when he confronts her impersonator/murderer online, ends up being murdered himself. By the time of his death, he has more than earned audience sympathy.
