"Get smart about nonsense!"
Smart Nonsense is a daily webcomic/newsletter hybrid that explains "nerdy stuff" in a way that's easy to understand. The comic was created by note Youtubers and best friends Henry Belcaster and Dylan Jardon. Each comic strip features a conversation between two characters, one of whom is the narrator and the other is a blob creature named Durd. The narrator explains topics such as business and history, while Durd is just there to illustrate the situation... And for the laughs.
Smart Nonsense contains examples of:
- Obsessive Spokesperson: The mascot Durd always shows up in Henry Belcaster's (one of the creators') Youtube Shorts note .
- Character Catchphrase: Durd's catchphrase is "...Smart Nonsense... Dot Com!"
- Mad Libs Catchphrase: "Good morning, (insert something related to the topic of today's comic here)!" is the first phrase in most Smart Nonsense comics.
