Why Br'er Rabbit returned to his home at the end despite that Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear threw him to the briar patch? Easy, because all three died and went to the afterlife.- Let's see, Br'er Rabbit was thrown into the briar patch and died when brambles pierced his body and both Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear somehow slipped from the cliff and fell to the same fate. However, in spite of their actions, Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear were spared from going to Hell as they weren't too evil and went to the Purgatory instead, where both of them are stuck on the brambles until they expiate their sins. Meanwhile, Br'er Rabbit was outright allowed into Heaven, which is represented with his home.
