This video was made by some guy who lost a bet or perhaps when he was drunk or high, and he didn't think it would be seen by anyone. The people who gouged out their eyes were already suicidal, and their watching of the video was a sheer coincidence. The Youtube employee who freaked out was the real culprit.
In the story, the employee who freaks out and screams after viewing the video was the creator, and he simply used it as a cover. He later murdered the other people who watched it and was the one who mailed their eyeballs to his work as a warning. He was angry or had severe mental health issues which explain why he did this.
