The beasts come from imagination
It was officially confirmed by Word of God that the beasts don't operate as same way of the Bit Beasts from Bakuten series. So, this just confirms the fact that the beasts aren't exactly spirits, but creations from people's minds. And this imagination can be harming sometimes. Just see the bladers getting scared of Tsubasa dark side.
- I highly doubt that to be the case, heck this is jossed from the beginning. Fusion talked about the Legendary Beyblade L-Drago, not just the Bey but the Spirit itself within. Heck, Fury goes further with the lore about the star fragments and Diablos. The entire theming in Metal is related to the Zodiac Signs, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Spirits are the Constellations.
