Darlington is very dismissive of them, saying how survived the crash of 1929 but were wiped out in 1987. He discusses how they dismissed magic for science. However despite these hurdles, they still exist, but they don’t donate to Lethe. Is it possible they just don’t want to be monitored by Lethe, and have hidden their magic? Have they possibly found a way to combine magic and science?
