Trivia / The Brady Bunch S 3 E 16 Dough Re Mi

Go To

  • One of the few instances where Robert Reed made a comment about the show that producer Lloyd Schwartz agreed with fully came not long after this episode aired. A fan of both The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family ran into the Brady cast members and remarked how they were her favorite singing group. As the encounter went on, it became clear she was confusing the Brady Bunch Kids with David Cassidy and his Partridge brood. Reed was with his cast mates when the exchange took place that day and gently but matter-of-factly cleared things up: "They sing, we act." Schwartz was also nearby and heard Reed and the fan make pleasantries. The incident is recalled in Schwartz's autobiography (with his father, Sherwood) and retrospective of the show.
  • Released as a single in late January 1972, just days after "Dough Re Mi" was televised, "Time To Change" failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, although the song did reach — charting very low — on comparable Record World and Cashbox charts.
