• Enforced Method Acting: The man standing in the back of the truck that Larry swipes? He actually broke his arm when falling out from the truck!
• What Could Have Been: Originally, the song that was Curly's Berserk Button was going to be "Stars and Stripes Forever" but "Pop Goes the Weasel" was chosen because it was funnier. Also, the former would have required the payment of royalties to the estate of John Philip Sousa while the latter was already in the public domain.
• Written by Cast Member: The short is the only one to credit the Three Stooges for the story. The treatment was actually written by Moe Howard, who simply added Larry Fine and Jerry Howard's^* (Curly went by that name on the early shorts where the Stooges were credited individually) names to it.
