• Throw It In!: Trigger was never meant to be in the wine bar scene. It just so happened that Roger Lloyd-Pack was in the studio that day, and dropped by to say hello to John Sullivan and let him know that he was around if needed. So the scene was quickly re-written ... and is even funnier than it otherwise would been as a result, thanks to Trigger's utterly baffled reaction after Del falls through the bar.
• Write What You Know: A couple of scenes are based on things John Sullivan experienced in real life. Rodney getting dropped off on a posh street he doesn't live on actually happened to Sullivan when he was a schoolboy, and the falling-through-the-bar scene was based on an incident he had witnessed in a wine bar.
