- Keep Circulating the Tapes: For some reason, the two expansions of the first game, Desert Siege and Island Thunder, are not available in Ubisoft's Digital Distribution platform, Ubisoft Connect (formerly Uplay) while the base game is. They're only available on Steam, or on second hand CD-ROM if you still have the tech to make them work.
- Technology Marches On:
- Many of the exotic weapons used in the first game, such as the OICW and XM8, have had their development discontinued.
- The Ghosts in the first game wear the BDU and DCU, which have since been replaced by the ACU.
- What Could Have Been: The first game was supposed to feature modular body armor, real time objectives changes, and "battlefield computers"
