  • What Could Have Been:
    • The game was originally meant to be more of a Wide-Open Sandbox exploration game where the player could go to landmarks to fight bosses, rather than the horde-survival it is today. This explains the presence of a castle in the game's old title screen.
    • Natoko's original concept was different. His base attack rate was cut to 1/3x, but his base attack speed was multiplied up to a maximum of 6x when near an enemy (2x in total after counting in the debuff), instead of 3x when he was near an enemy and 1/3x if he was too far.
    • R0B3RT's name was originally B0R15 and his SteamTech Turret was originally going to be named 8RY4N.
    • An item called "Reckless Abandon" was planned to be put into the game at some point, even available in a beta build. Whenever the player took damage, their max health decreased by 1 instead and they got a permanent +5% damage buff. The idea was eventually scrapped.
    • Concept art showed a chameleon enemy with a lasso tongue alongside an orc and a bull enemy. While the orc and bull enemies made it into the final game, the chameleon was stated to be an early concept that OptizOnion currently have no plans on adding.
