• Platinum's son Pipsqueak had a rare condition that would have eventually not just killed him, but caused his soul to disperse, so she wouldn't even have the consolation of the fact that he'd be reborn on Earth. Sheer desperation drives her to ally with Human Starlight so she can do what Central 46 forbade and turn Pipsqueak into a Vizard so he'll live.
• Human Starlight's version of Sunburst was killed, and when she tried to perform a Konso and send him to Soul Society, he was Dragged Off to Hell despite being innocent.
• Clover's Zanpakuto was stolen by Starlight, leaving her devastated.
• Rainbow stumbles upon Hurricane at his wife Pansy's grave, after he's learned that Fluttershy is her reincarnation.
• Something happened to Human Sunset to cause her to end up in Hueco Mundo, only surviving due to the Lament's Papa Wolf instincts leading him to take her in. She doesn't even use her old name anymore.
• Adagio forces herself to turn into an Arrancar to try and save a captured Ember, but even the power boost that she gets from the transformation isn't enough to fight off Luna, Nocturne, and Cheerilee before they can escape with her.
• Sunset is an orphan, and it's made clear that the issues that led her to villainy were at least partially derived from this.
• It seems that in the past Chrysalis used Thorax to lure Luna into a trap in an attempt to enthrall her, with Thorax being largely unaware of what she was planning.
• Sunset’s contact with Princess Twilight has been cut off, and Sunset is clearly worried about what happened to her.
• Pipsqueak is rather conflicted about what his mother did to save him, to the point of openly wondering whether it would have been better if she let him die.
• Firefly is still comatose from Luna’s curse.
• We see Aqualania, a beautiful city laid low by a civil war.
• After Aqualania was lost, the seaponies have lost all of their racial harmony, each tribe fending solely for itself.
• Luna worrying that Celestia will fall like she did because of her use of the Relics.
• Scylla's last message, bemoaning everything that happened between her and her sister.
• Bowtie performs Konso on Rarity, sending her to Hell undeservingly like Sunburst, and despite their best efforts the rest of the Humane Seven can't stop it, forcing Rarity to let go so her friends don't share her fate.
• Glory ends up mortally wounding Scorpan in battle, and Celestia, try as she might, only makes it in time for him to pass on his position to her before his soul breaks apart into new mortal spirits.
• The Equestrian Fluttershy is not handling Discord's capture well.
• Roka is grievously injured by Pharynx, and Di Roy is unable to do much to help her.
• In a flashback Medley forces Fenice's biological Arrancar father Ravana to send her through a Garganta to Hueco Mundo if he wants her to spare his daughter, and it's clearly not easy for him, much less the confused Fenice.
• Wallflower's memories are severely messed up, to the point that she can't even remember where she lives.
• Hel's reaction to seeing Spike, who she recognizes as a piece of her brother Fenrir.
