Aster returns to Duel Academy for a rematch against Jaden to see which of them has the better Hero deck.
Tropes
- Adaptational Jerkass: In the Japanese version, Aster refuses any spectators barring Jaden's friends, Jasmine, and Mindy because he doesn't want any would-be professional duelist seeing his deck. In the dub, he merely refuses to give a free show.
- Dark Is Not Evil: The episode ends with Aster summoning Destiny Hero Doom Lord. Destiny Heroes are dark attribute and in addition to its name, Doom Lord looks intimidating with its tattered cape, and dark spiky armor.
- Good Is Not Nice: Aster stops a thief stealing from the academy's card shop, but in the process scares him unconscious.
- Luminescent Blush: Alexis has one when the guys call her out for trying to support Aster with her friends.
- "Stop Having Fun" Guys: In-universe. Aster detests people who use Hero cards for looking cool and says dueling isn't about fun, not for him anyways.
