Yuya and Reiji's Duel rages on under the witnessing of all the selected "Lancers". Despite being injured, Yuya endeavors on his Duel against Reiji, knowing fully that this is a challenge he took on for the sake of Yuzu and Yuto. However, even with his full power against Reiji, Reiji proves victorious and defeats Yuya. Reiji tells Yuya that he alone cannot save Yuzu as he is now, but it is his intent for he, Yuya, and the Lancers, to cross dimensions together. With this, he leads them back to the duel stadium.
This episode provides examples of:
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: When Yuya was summoning Odd-Eyes Rebellion, his eyes were glowing just like when he is in Berserk Mode.
- I Will Find You: Yuya's primary motivation is to find Yuzu which was only strengthened when he lost to Reiji.
- Invincible Hero: Averted. Yuya lost to Reiji.
- Manipulative Bastard: Reiji again, but he really takes the cake when he knows Yuzu isn't in danger but lies that she is to get Yuya to join the Lancers.
- Skyward Scream: Yuya give one when he realizes he isn't strong enough to save Yuzu.
- Slasher Smile: Reiji gives one when Yuya summons Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon.
- Theme Music Power-Up: It's pretty obvious that Reiji's going to turn the tide once DDD starts playing in the middle of Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon's attack.
- Took a Level in Badass: Yuya was able to summon all his dragons this duel and brought Reiji to 300 life points.
- Worthy Opponent: Reiji still thinks highly of Yuya. Yuya doesn't anymore.
