Synopsis:
A policeman gets shot during an art robbery in Brussels. Chief commissioner Keysers, Witse's former boss and his ex-wife's lover, begrudgingly enlists Witse's help to catch the killers. He suspects that Mario Sarasin, a retired pimp and art thief, knows more about the case and asks Witse to pay him a visit. Sarasin, now in his twilight years, spends his retirement in a villa near Halle, together with Pascale, one of his (former) prostitutes. While he's unwilling at first to share much with Witse, he nevertheless calls him later that night with information on the killers. The following morning, Sarasin is found dead in his pool. Keysers suspects that Sarasin was killed in revenge, but Witse doesn't believe in a professional hit and starts looking into the people closest to him. He discovers that nearly everyone had a motive (financial or otherwise) to kill Sarasin, but also discovers that everyone has alibis. He's eventually pointed in the right direction, when he discovers that one of the suspects was blackmailing the others.
