Thomas is given a job to take The Fat Controller's new car to the Sodor Show while Gordon is to take the bandstand to a show and challenges Thomas to a race. Gordon gets in the lead while Thomas impatiently tries to catch up. Little did Thomas know is that he wasn't coupled to the truck where the new car is placed on top, and this is where disaster strikes...
