Shortly after Enjin was destroyed and Monster X managed to restart Aria Blaze's heart, resulting in her removing his scarf and mask, she runs her fingers across his face, feeling all of his scars. She doesn't care that he used to be her enemy. She doesn't care that in the looks department he's about average. Seeing all the injuries he got from protecting and saving her is making her heart glow.
X is feeling déjà vu. Although he still doesn't remember his former wife Controller 011, he's seen her in his glimpses of Kaizer Ghidorah's memories, and he's aware he used to do similar things with her. Aria notes the tears on his face and comments that he was crying. He claims it was from the pain of his injuries, but they both know the real reason: he was scared that she was going to die. They use his scarf to clean each other of blood and dirt.
Red mist flows from X and is absorbed into her necklace. She notes to herself that she likes his eyes, and she likes him. He puts his arms around her and presses his forehead to hers. This confuses her, but it feels nice and their faces start reddening. He starts to feel sorry for Kaizer Ghidorah, as his inability to move on from Controller 011 killed his ability to make friends and find happiness like he was able to.
Aria thinks about her present situation and decides she'll make do with whatever world she inhabits, master gathering her new power source, and rebuild her relationship with Adagio. She kisses him. He's confused at first, as Xilians do not normally do this, but returns it. They stay like that for a while before getting up. As his leg is injured, she drapes his arm over her shoulder and supports him. They banter a bit before limping down the road and toward Sunset Shimmer's approaching car.
