Ancestral Issues (Osaka and Tokyo, Tuesday Evening)
The strike team learns of Sho's abduction, with Ayaka providing her name and account of the events.
Meanwhile, in Sandā Arsenal, two guards are watching over the captive Sho. Their supervisor arrives, asking them if everything is alright. The three employees look inside Sho's cell to check on him before the supervisor hastily leaves to get the new shift.
Upon learning of the strike team's plan to infiltrate Sandā Arsenal, Ayaka insists on joining them and reveals that her grandfather is the company's CEO, much to everyone's shock. Haru promptly requests all the Persona-users to leave her and Ayaka alone to talk. After Haru shares her experience with her father and ex-fiancé, Ayaka decides to disclose her past. Haru then promises that they will stop Sandā Arsenal's CEO.
Back in Tokyo, Ann prepares for her first date with Ryuji. She soon enters a conversation with her Persona, Célestine, about her fears of losing Ryuji and their relationship. After receiving reassurance from Célestine and thanking her, Ann lets her hair down to complete her look.
Ryuji takes time to reflect while he waits for Ann to come downstairs from her apartment. His date arrives shortly after, stunning him with her appearance. The two share compliments for a moment before heading off to see a movie together.
Having watched their movie, Ryuji and Ann make their way to the former's home. However, they soon discover a man pounding on an apartment door. Ryuji recognizes the man as his abusive father and confronts him, demanding that he leave. Mr. Sakamoto refuses and attempts to attack, but Ryuji throws him off to the side, allowing Ann to trip him. Before the enraged man can strike again, Ryuji successfully knocks him out cold. When the officers ask for context, the two Persona-users provide the necessary information.
Following the unpleasant encounter, Ann comforts Ryuji, who apologizes for the night's events and tells her he will never treat her horribly, as his father did with his mother. Ryuji then asks Ann to be his girlfriend, which she happily accepts before sharing her first kiss with him. The couple soon gets interrupted by Mrs. Sakamoto, who wants to learn all the details about their relationship.
