Breaking Chains
Noticing Akane feeling down while going to her room, Kenzo follows her and asks if she wants to accompany him and his friends for their usual Shadow hunting excursion. Akane accepts and heads inside her room, leaving Kenzo to go downstairs. He gets greeted by Futaba, who gives him two new Shattering Shackles before departing to work on a TARDIS matrix.
Meeting up with Shen and Arisu, Kenzo introduces them to Akane and shows them the Shattering Shackles. He explains their functions and gives a warning before handing them to his teammates. Right after Shen and Arisu put on their Shackles, the former manages to Awaken to his Persona: Leigong, the Chinese god of thunder. Then, to everyone's amazement, Kenzo demonstrates his Magician's Flame ability by forming an anvil construct.
Spying on the Raptor Pack again, Ryouto discovers that Shen has a Persona and manages to see past the Shackles' perception filters. As Ryouto continues to follow the group, he recounts all the information he has gathered from his observations. He soon realizes something about the Vanes of Order.
After bidding his friends good night, Kenzo asks Akane what was on her mind back at the meeting. She reveals her uncertainty over whether she can measure up to the older Persona-users as they have more experience than she does. Kenzo reassures her that she's still included no matter what and that he and the other Persona-users will be there to guide her, establishing his Empress Confidant.
While the strike team prepares for their departure to Osaka, Sophia insists to Ren that she will come along, which the Wild Card accepts. Ren then kisses Makoto before heading back into the Thieves' Den to double-check for anything he might need for the mission.
In Leblanc, Morgana tells Ryuji that he knows about the latter's feelings for Ann. The two Thieves talk things over, with Ryuji promising to make Ann happy so he won't invoke Morgana's wrath.
