"I'm not getting this job, am I?"
Amy

Glenn is stepping down as manager, but to apply for the position Amy would have to be interviewed by Laurie, who still carries a grudge against her.

Meanwhile, Glenn realizes that he's accidentally embezzled about $27,000 from maintenance funds, so he, Mateo, and Jonah try to cause enough damage to the store so Glenn can spend that money on the repairs. At Laurie's behest, Cheyenne and Garrett try to get through the rest of the day without their phones.

Tropes:

  • Blackmail: Amy eventually resorts to blackmailing Laurie with the knowledge of her cocaine addiction to get the job.
  • Honor Before Reason: Amy initially doesn't take the job offer because she wants to get it on her own merits and not because she knows Laurie does cocaine. The others point out that this not only holds her back, but also that the new replacement is absolutely incompetent and would be a terrible boss. Jonah also adds that Blaine was a nepotism hire anyway, so it cancels out.
  • Nepotism: Laurie hires her son as the replacement manager despite him being completely incompetent.
