Clark accompanies Tess on a flight to another city, but when the plane is hit with turbulence, he has to find a way to save himself and Tess without exposing his powers. Jimmy becomes highly suspicious of Davis.

- Batman Gambit: It's revealed that Tess pulled one on Clark to get him to reveal his powers to her.
- Bullying a Dragon: Jimmy does this to Davis, though he remains ignorant of Davis's true nature.
- Event Title: The title refers to Chloe and Jimmy's relationship becoming strained, and to Clark and Tess experiencing a literal example aboard the LuthorCorp jet.
- Morality Pet: Chloe becomes this to Davis. As Davis starts to transform into Doomsday, Chloe puts her hand on his shoulder and the transformation reverses.
- Rage Quit: Jimmy angrily quits the Daily Planet, snatching off his press pass as he barges into Tess' office and leaves a file on Davis on Tess' desk.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Jimmy gives one to Chloe for taking someone else's side over him.Jimmy: Davis came after me, and I was protecting myself. But you don't believe me.
