Shout-Out: To House. Dr. Cox injures his leg and is forced to walk with a cane; he also solves everything by the end in a typical House fashion. One of the patients is also orange, like House's first clinic patient.
Wham Shot: After Cox tells him to watch out for post-partum depression the orange patient says his wife hasn't been sad. The episode then cuts to Carla curled up in bed with Izzy and sobbing her eyes out revealing she was the one crying in the night because she has post-partum depression.
Whole-Plot Reference: To House. Several of the plot points make references to episodes of the series, and Dr. Cox breaks his leg and resorts to a cane, much like Gregory House. It even references House's first clinic case, the orange man.
